3 up and coming spots to check out with your child this July

With traveling overseas out of the picture, this is the perfect chance for parents to introduce different sights and sounds of Singapore to their toddler or child! From exploring different exhibits to enjoying the outdoors, we’ve picked out 5 must-visit spots for you and your child to spend some time together while having fun.

It’s Play time at the Coastal PlayGrove

Big Splash is now the Coastal PlayGrove! Located at East Coast Park, this is an attraction best suited for the entire family. For the older children, they can have a ball of fun at the Play Tower, Singapore’s tallest outdoor play feature with the tallest slide!

Toddlers and younger children can have fun at the Leisure Net, a mini obstacle course, or play with some sand for sensory play at the Sandpit. Cool off at the Water Play area with its wading pool for a great time splashing around. You can even rope in some learning with the Nature Playgarden and Outdoor Classroom where the little ones can explore interesting plants and nature. Remember to pack a water bottle like this Skip Hop bottle, $12.90 or Noodoll bottle, $30 to keep them hydrated!

Breathe in some fresh air at the Gallop Extension

Time for some fun in the sun! Explore the flora and fauna of the Singapore Botanic Garden’s newest addition - The Gallop Extension! Take a walk with your child as you discover the different plants and flowers. Visit the newest biophilic playground, the COMO Adventure Grove. Inspired by the distinctive part of trees within the park, this playground wants to appeal to a child’s innate desire and connecting them with nature. They can check out the banyan tree structure with 13 branches to complete with swings, ropes, and hammocks.

Bring along the Ergobaby Aerloom, $399 in case your little one gets tired, and keep their eyes protected with Koolsun Sunglasses, $19.90 and protected from UV rays with the Lil Giants sunblock, from $38.

Visit the insta-worthy Otah and Friends, Volume 2: Blast Off!

Ultra-cute and colorful, it’s time for some indoor fun! A brand new edition after a successful run, you have to race against time to find seven secret tools to launch a rocket into space. You’re given some time to complete your mission while snapping some IG-worthy photos of your child for good memories. Your child will get to press, prod and poke to look for clues that will keep them entertained.

Pack some snacks like Bellamy’s Organic Pear and Apple Snacks, $5.30  in case your toddler gets hungry with the OXO TOT Flippy Snack Cup, $14.90.
